Family Suicide Attack: The New Face of the Jihad

A family father, his wife and four of their children brought death to three places of worship in Surabaya, Indonesia. Archbishop Ignatius Suharyo Hardjoatmodjo, archbishop of Djakarta and president of the Bishops’ Conference of Indonesia, says terrorism has escalated.

On May 13 and 14, 2018, three Christian places of worship were attacked by six members of the same family. The first attack was perpetrated by the couple’s two sons, aged 16 and 18, in the parking lot of the Santa Maria Catholic Church; the second, by the mother and two daughters, aged 9 and 12, at the Indonesian Christian Church; and the third by the father, who attacked a Pentecostal church.

In all, 11 persons died and 41 were wounded in these attacks by Allah’s madmen.

The press agency AsiaNews relayed the archbishop of Djakarta’s reaction on May 15. “Planning and implementing a suicide attack by taking their children with them,” he said, “is a new form of violence.”

A few hours after these attacks, three members of another family accidentally blew themselves up while preparing a similar attack. As if the first fanatic family had already begun to have followers.

This sort of behavior, so entirely opposed to the truth of the Gospel that encourages us to lay down our lives for our brethren, not to take it away, and to suffer martyrdom for our Faith in Jesus Christ, not spread terror, is yet another proof of the falseness of Islam and the fanaticism of its pseudo-prophet.
